King Christofer Fyreglaive appoints Theron Goldedge, a lawful good human paladin and oath-brother, as Pathleader of Eldoria’s Pathfinders. The Pathfinders are standing companies of mixed heroes, with one member from every race or subrace and every class, serving each community without uniforms except a sigil: a circle cut by two converging lines forming a path. They aid their town and its surrounding country, explore the unknown, and stand against darkness and chaotic evil. Once housed aboard the Concord, a city-sized high-fantasy cruise ship, they now live in the cities they serve. Their headquarters remains in a chamber left of the Concord’s great hall, built around a giant enchanted map; they gather there each full moon instead of every dusk. Christofer is Pathfinder-in-Chief. Their oath, sworn under Zone of Truth, places justice first, then the king chosen by the Ember Lux, then lawful orders. If an order demands moral turpitude, their duty belongs to the Great Architect. Dawn is training. Day is service in the assigned town, including finding worthy names for the Pathfinders, the Ember Lux, and the Sisterhood of the Guiding Flame. When the cry “Pathfinders Assemble” goes up, they come. Theron, Christofer, and Bartholomew are oath-brothers. Theron once burned the Void from a possessed King Christofer and paid with his left hand.
