SKARS: The Mark of Kaevra

Identical twins Adam and Niko awaken supernatural Marks after surviving brutal near-death experiences. The Marks grant powers designed to prevent each person from dying the same way again, but overuse triggers Frenzy, an addictive state that can turn survivors toward violence. Adam joins Kaevra’s Champions, who protect others and refuse to kill innocents, while Niko embraces Frenzy and is drawn toward the murderous Scarred Ones. Their love survives as they become enemies in an ancient conflict, while both factions uncover a deeper mystery: what Kaevra is, why Marks exist, and why they are growing stronger.
